I offer medical massage to those seeking relief from pathologies such as: anterior scalene or thoracic outlet syndrome, herniated disks, temporomandibular joint syndrome, sciatica or piriformis muscle syndrome, spasms, and calcaneal spur syndrome, to name a few. Treatment may include myofascial release, triphase ischemic release, connective tissue massage, deep tissue massage, or various passive and/or active stretching techniques. Furthermore, I offer Swedish Massage to those who simply wish to relax and/or maintain good health.

Because I administer between 30 & 40 one-hour medical massages per week at a busy local physcial therapy center, and because I see several regular clients weekly at my home office, my availability to private clients is limited. Please call for information regarding hours and scheduling in advance. I will do my best to accommodate you.

Hypnotherapy

Initial and hypnosis sessions

What an individual can expect from pre-hypnotherapy & hypnotherapy sessions: The pre-hypnotherapy session is one in which the person's goals and expectations are carefully defined. For example, if one should come for help to quit smoking, which is the most common goal among Diane's hypnotherapy clients, the first question that person is asked during the phone consultation, is how strong, on a scale from 1-10, his commitment is to stop smoking. If his commitment level is less than a 10, he is asked to wait until he is entirely committed to quitting before making the appointment. Those who are ready, however, schedule an appointment. The client must complete some paperwork at the start of the session. The paperwork is designed to determine which suggestions will be most effective for that specific client, and to ascertain those times when the client is most likely to smoke. Once that is done, the client decides which healthful activities he can substitute for smoking during times of stress. After the paperwork is completed, Diane conducts a progrssive relaxation session in order to prepare the client for hypnosis, which will take place one week later, if possible. Before the next session, Diane customizes an audio cassette for the client, based on all that was accomplished during the previous meeting. Neurolinguistic programming -- the formulation of a new scenario in the client's unconscious -- is also utilitzed in the course of the hypnosis session to maximize the success of the client. At the end of the session, in which the client has been given those suggestions specifically suited for him, he receives the audio cassette -- an abbreviated version of the session -- which he is to listen to, daily, for thirty days. This is done to reinforce all that is done during the session, in order to create a new, healthful behavior, that replaces the old, harmful one. In addition to smoking cessation, some of the many reasons a client comes to be hypnotized, are: weight loss, stress reduction, self-confidence, healing disease, past-life regression, inner tranquility, assertiveness, overcoming fears and phobias, inner healing/forgiveness, anxiety reduction, pain control, and virtually anything that a person wishes to accomplish in order to create a happy, healthy life. Diane never tells a client he must return, as she feels the individual client can best gauge his own progress. In fact, the great majority of Diane's clients find success after only one hypnosis session.

*Because Diane prepares customized scripts and audio cassettes for each client prior to the second visit, the fee for both visits, $150.00, is payable at the initial session.

**Past Life Regression, unless it is directly related to a behavior the client wants to change, is only one visit for $60.00. This is for those who simply wish to explore possible past lives.

 

Reiki Therapy

This is one of the most relaxing, balancing, and healing forms of therapy a person can experience. Many fall asleep during the session, while others experience a great emotional release because of tapping into cell memory. Some clients claim to have glimpses of the future, while others state they have recalled past-life memories. A unique experience!

Reiki Certification Courses

Level I (2-3 Hours -- Includes hands-on practice) $75.00
In the level I course, the student learns the history of Reiki, receives four attunements, learns locations and functions of the seven major chakras, learns hand placements used while healing oneself and others, balances one's own chakras during a guided meditation, and gives and receives Reiki.

Level II (3 Hours -- (Includes drawing symbols and hands-on practice) $150.00

In the second degree course, the student will receive two Reiki attunements and learn to use three symbols, including the symbol used for distance healing. Various techniques for absentee healing will be taught, as well as the use of concentration tools, imagery, creative visualization, meditation, and the use of symbols during table sessions.

Level III (2-3 Hours -- Includes drawing symbols, learning how to pass attunements, and hands-on practice) $250.00

In the level III/Master course, the student will both receive and pass attunements, learn how to teach Reiki to others, practice creative visualization and meditation techniques used to facilitate healing, learn to create and use Reiki grids, and learn how to pass attunements for each level of training. The student learns to draw and use two additional Reiki symbols.

(Please note: before an attunement, the person receiving the attunement should prepare, a week in advance, to make the transition, or "purging process," as pleasant as possible. ( THIS IS ONLY A GUIDELINE, AND ONE CAN RECEIVE AN ATTUNEMENT WITHOUT FOLLOWING IT!) One can do this by: omitting meat from the diet, avoiding alcoholic beverages, avoiding violence on television or other media, avoiding sugar and chocolate, avoiding caffienated beverages, meditating daily, & drinking a good amount of water.

Psychic Awareness Workshops

Tuition: $100.00 (instructional materials included)

In these 3 hour workshops, students learn how to develop their innate psychic abilities through guided meditations, in which they will have the opportunity to meet their spirit guides, explore past lives, and discover their life paths. Students also learn how to program crystals, use divining rods, pendulums, and various scrying methods, and experiment with, and learn how to interpret the results derived from a wide range of divining tools, such as tarot cards, crystal balls, Rune stones, and the I Ching.

A certificate of completion is awarded at the end of this workshop.
